Job Title: Social Media Marketing Intern
Hours: Estimate 2-5 hours per week.
Non-Compensated, flexible start/end schedule
Dandelion Revolution Press (DRP) is a volunteer-led publisher of anthologies promoting women-forward stories. We are looking for a creative and motivated individual to assist promoting DRP initiatives, products and continue building the community across social media outlets. The individual must be passionate about literature and elevating women’s voices, and will be able to work independently while being an integral member of the DRP team.
While we are not able to offer financial compensation, we would be willing to support the successful individual with references and complimentary copies of books. This would be a virtual position, though the core team is based in Bucks and Montgomery County, PA.
Since the intended audience for our books is 17+ years old, potential interns should be in this age range.
Duties include:
Curate all types of published content (images, videos, written copy)
- Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
- Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
- Help create and edit short-form videos
- Ensure brand message is consistent
Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
- Demonstrate ability to plan and deliver to publishing schedules
- Perform social media marketing research
- Assist on influencer campaign strategy
- Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
- Assist or lead opportunities to engage DRP community of writers and readers (e.g., author interviews)
Qualifications
How to Apply:
- Experience in creating social media content on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook.
- Experience with designing tools like Canva, Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher/ Powerpoint, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with WordPress or web content management would be a plus.
- Preferred experience in marketing, outreach, publicizing and promoting events and services
