2025 CALLS FOR SUBMISSIONS

Dandelion Revolution Press (DRP) is an independent publishing house founded by women writers from Pennsylvania whose mission celebrates and amplifies the female perspective. Since 2020, we have been committed to sharing female-forward stories with the world. Join us in celebrating five years by contributing to our 2025 Calls for Submissions.

WHAT WE’RE CREATING: Seasonal online literary journals that include short fiction, creative nonfiction, and personal essays. Content and contributor information will be shared on our website and social media.

WHAT WE’D LIKE YOU TO CONTRIBUTE: We’re drawn to compelling women characters within a framework of excellent writing and storytelling. All genres welcome. The intended audience will be 17+.

WHO WE’D LOVE TO HAVE SUBMIT: Writers of all identities, and we encourage voices from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We have a global audience and love to see those stories reflected in the pieces we publish.

For our ongoing essay series this year, we’re seeking personal essays recognizing female-identifying authors and/or characters that have impacted your life. We have all had a female creator whose work has left a lasting impression on us or recall a female character whose experience deeply resonated with our own. They may have shaped your creative journey, challenged your worldview, or simply created art that has echoed in your soul for years. We want to hear about it! Submit your personal essay to celebrate the legacy of women in the literary world and have it published on our SubStack as part of our series.

Whether it’s a personal evolution, overcoming obstacles, or embracing new beginnings, we want
to showcase women characters who shine in all their complexities and strengths. We want to read about dynamic female protagonists who are bold, flawed, and unapologetically themselves. This is a space for the raw, real, and sometimes edgy side of growth. Submit your short fiction or creative non-fiction to be part of this collection of the power of blossoming in all its forms. Full issue will be published digitally on our website and SubStack. See “Submission Guidelines” below for details.

Reimagine classic stories with a fresh, bold twist. Take a well-known myth, fable, or fairytale, and breathe new life into it—whether by exploring untold perspectives, shifting genres, or adding unexpected turns. We want to see familiar characters and plots through new eyes, or even a myth of your own invention. If you have a short story that creates or reinvents a timeless tale in a surprising way, or a creative nonfiction piece that draws compelling parallels to a traditional story, we want to read it! Full issue will be published digitally on our website and SubStack. See “Submission Guidelines” below for details.
